 Jeff Clarke, Mayor
Jeff’s family roots run deep in Pawnee. He graduated from Pawnee High School in 1981.
Jeff went to work for his family’s business which was Bailey Auto Supply in Springfield.
In 1990 Jeff began his career in public service going to work for the Illinois General Assembly where he is a Policy Analyst / Mail Coordinator for the Republican Leader where he is still employed.

Tommie D. Bowen, Village Trustee
Born an Indiana Hoosier in 1954, Tom began a 24 year radio and television career at the age of 16 working in markets from Lafayette, Indiana, Indianapolis, Duluth, Minnesota, Chicago and Springfield. Tom chose a second career with the Illinois State Police in 1993 where he works for the Bureau of Communications. Tom can still be heard Saturday morning from 6:00 to 8:00 am on 970 WMAY, “The News and Talk of Springfield,” delivering his unique form of talk radio. One thing is for sure, Tom is never at a loss for words.
Tom is most proud of his family. He and his wife Kathy have been Pawnee residents since 1989. Kathy is an attorney with her practice based in Taylorville and Springfield. They have four children, Keith, Kelly, Deann, and Kristen. They also have seven grandchildren with one on the way. They include the twins, Blake and Adriana who attend Pawnee Grade School, Emma and her sister Chloe, Chase and little sister Justice, and Michael with little brother on the way.
Tom served as Village Clerk for two years prior to becoming a Trustee in 2003. He chairs the Personnel and Finance Committee along with the Streets, Alleys and Sidewalks Committee. He also sits on the Zoning Committee. Tom prides himself as a fiscal conservative.
Tom attended both Lincoln Land Community College and the University of Illinois at Springfield and would like to seek a teaching position upon retirement from the Illinois State Police in a few years.

 Steve
Gudgel, Village Trustee

Born in 1971, Steve is a lifelong resident of Pawnee. He decided
to run for he position of Village Trustee to represent the
Village residents. He was elected to the Village Board of
Trustees in 2003 and currently serves as Chairman of the Zoning
Committee.
His career has led to the Sangamon County State's Attorney's office where he is currently in charge of the Special Investigations Division. He is also the Treasurer for the Law Enforcement Training and Advisory Commission.
Steve and his wife Amy have a daughter, Hannah, who attends
Pawnee Grade School.

Thompson, Village Trustee

Phil has been a resident
of Pawnee for more than 35 years.
His involvement with youth activities
in Pawnee stemmed his desire to
be elected as a Village Trustee.
He currently serves as Chairman
for the Sewer Committee, and is
a member of Parks and Police Committees.
A Registered Professional Nurse, Phil has been involved with surgery in many
clinical and leadership capacities over the last 21 years. He currently works
as an Clinical Specialist for a Spinal Surgery Company.
Phil remains involved with many youth activities, and is also the owner of
the Pawnee Shotokan Karate Club.
He and his wife Terri, have three children; Christy, Alex, and
Drew.

Terry’s
parents (Richard and Joy Brinkman)
moved to Pawnee in 1981 when she
was a student at Eastern Illinois
University. She
graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor
of Science in Business Administration/
Personnel Management. Terry
has been employed by the State of
Illinois since September 1985 in
the areas of fiscal, payroll, internal
auditing, budgeting, and federal
reporting. She currently
works for the Illinois Department
of Human Services as Manager of
the Personal Assistance Home Service
Payroll and Accounts Payable/Voucher
Units.
She
ran for Village Trustee
in 1997 because she wanted to make
a difference in the community by
representing the citizens, employees,
and businesses of Pawnee. During Terry’s
first two terms (1997-2005) on the
board, she was the chairperson of
the Personnel & Finance Committee
and served as member of the Gas & Water
Committee and the Streets, Sidewalks, & Alleys
Committee.
Terry
was re-elected in April
2007 and is currently chairperson
of the Gas & Water and Parks Committees. She
also serves as committee member
of the Police and Zoning
Committees.
Terry
married Sheldon Woodcock in May 1990. They
were blessed with a baby girl, Ciara,
in 1993.

Glenn Smith, Office Manager & Treasurer

Born in 1944, Glenn earned his B.S. in Accounting
at Western Kentucky University. After being employed by Peabody
Coal Company, he was hired at the Village of Pawnee in l989.
Glenn and his wife, Patti have 3 children. Their daughter Jessika
Bales is a graduate of Pawnee H.S. Their son, Tracy lives
in Georgetown, Ky with his wife Lisa & daughter Lauren.
Another daughter, Suzanne lives in Hopkinsville, Ky with her
husband, David and children, Griffin and Bailey. Patti works
at Senior Services in Pawnee & Springfield.
 Michelle
Featherston, Office Assistant

Michelle was born and raised in Pawnee and graduated with the
Class of '76. She started with the Village in 1996 as a Police
Dispatcher, transferring to the Billing Clerk position in
1998. She was a volunteer EMT for Pawnee Sangamac Ambulance
and Pawnee Fire Department for eleven years. She has a part-time
photography business, Featherston Photos, located in her home.
Michelle and her husband, David, have a son, Dalton, a daughter,
Miranda, and a son-in-law Darrek. She also has five wonderful
grandchildren, Jordan, Mason, Alyssa, Drake and Briar along with two step-granddaughters, Maddie and Maggie. |
