We will also have the Electronics Recycling truck in town the same day. It will be on the south side of the square from 12-4pm (or until it's full).
The company will take anything that plugs into an electric outlet for a minimal fee. T.V’s (all shapes and sizes), vacuums, microwaves, computers, monitors and the list goes on. Any questions can be directed to the Village Office at 217-625-2941. Unfortunately, the Village had to discontinue the recycling program. At this time, it is undetermined if we will be offering this courtesy to the public again.
When the Village began the recycle option there weren’t many programs available to the people. However, there are several sanitation companies who now provide recycling to the public. Pawnee Village believes in the recycling process and continues to look at other options. The Board of Trustees will look at the possibility of returning the program in our next fiscal year. Mayor Clarke and the Board of Trustees are grateful the Village was able to provide the program for as long as they did. Thank you for making it a huge success. If you would still like to participate in recycling you can contact your sanitation provider. The Vital Records Mobile Unit will be in town from 5-6 pm at the Pawnee Village Hall on Monday, June 11th. If you want an easy way to get a copy of a vital record (birth, death, marriage records and licenses, business name registration, raffle licenses, etc.) without making a trip to Springfield, come check it out! See flyer for complete details and what you'll need to bring with you. Questions? Call 217-753-6701. |
