Fireworks
July 4, 2003 was the first fireworks display provided by the Village of Pawnee. The event was such a huge success, the board members decided to make it an annual event. However, last year's celebration was turned over to the Pawnee Prairie Days Association due to the current Village financial situation. Rather than discontinue the event the PPDA graciously agreed to host the firework display at the Pawnee High School. Once again, there were many in attendance and the event was another success!
If you're interested in helping plan this event, have any ideas for fund raising or would like to see somthing added to the celebration please contact the Village Office at (217) 625-2941.
The Village Trustees would like to give a special thanks to the Pawnee Prairie Days Association for making this event possible and to the Pawnee School Board for continuing to provide the use of the football field, bleachers and concession area.
Prairie Days
The Pawnee Prairie Days Association and the Trustees of Pawnee Village would like to invite you along with your family and friends to the annual Pawnee Prairie Days Picnic. This year's three day scheduled event will be held June 7th - 9th. There will be carnival rides and games, good food, cold drinks and great entertainment. You won't want to miss any of the activities so mark your calendars now to hold these dates so you can attend!!
Just a reminder - Pawnee Prairie Days Association's success is due to a combined effort of many residents who have given of their time and expertise. We would like to give a special thanks to all those who have volunteered and served in any way. Our continued success depends on you! Thanks again!

Tickets must be purchased for all alcoholic beverages. Proof of age and wrist bands are required. All ticket sales will end at midnight and serving will stop at 12:30 a.m.
